Latest Updates from Our Project:
Notice to All Backers
– Sat, Nov 20, 2021 at 02:09:46 AM
A quick notice to let all our Dragon Eye Dice backers know about a small amount of leftover Ice Dice trays we have from the Ice Dice fulfilment.
We have been asked by a few backers from our other campaigns when the Ice Dice trays will become available to purchase. From the 25,000 that were ordered we have around 1,500 left over.
We have opened a pre-order for these trays to all our backers before we open them up for retail in January. This pre-order is for you to reserve an ice tray or two before they are sold out, but this pre-order will fulfil after the backers of the Ice Dice campaign have been sent theirs. We are therefore stating that this preorder will be posted in Jan.
We will order further trays but we cannot say when they will arrive so if you want a set sent in Jan, go through to our website (www.spidermindgames.co.uk) and get yourself a tray.
Production Ready Dice
We promised photographs of the dice when they had been completed and that moment is a step closer. The first finished product on its way to our media company for them to photographs and video. Pictures to come very soon.
Have a great weekend

Backer Kit surveys are on their way!
– Fri, Oct 08, 2021 at 12:01:49 AM
Thank you very much for your patience whilst we got the survey ready for release.
This survey has been released to collect postal addresses, postage payments and will allow backers to add on items not available during the KickStarter campaign.
It is our plan to run the survey until the end of November. Before we close the survey you will be able to update your pledge, increase add ons and change your delivery address. When we are looking to close the Backer Kit, you will all receive plenty of notice via email and from the updates page on Kickstarter. If this date, of the end of November, changes we will let everyone know well in time.
Backer Kit
We are running the survey through Backer Kit who are a third party platform, set up specifically to handle the pledge management side of KickStarter campaigns. If you have any issues interacting with the site, including any payment issues, please reach out to them in first instance as they are in a much better position to help you out. You will be able to reach them on [email protected]
If you have any product questions then we will be delighted to help out at [email protected]
Backer Kit will take payments through debit card, credit card and PayPal.
I Haven't Got My Survey
This usually happens when your email provider believes the Backer Kit invite is spam and removes it from your inbox. Here are some steps you can try, in order to get access to your Backer Kit survey.
Add '@backerkit.com' as a safe recipient to your email platform
As we do not handle the survey invites, if the above list does not help then please contact Backer Kit and supply them with an alternative email address to send the survey to. Help can be found at - [email protected]
Manufacturing and Product Updates
As well as using this update page to keep everyone up to speed with the survey, we will also be posting product development updates, so do keep an eye out for them.
Feedback and Comments
We love to read all the feedback, suggestions and comments we receive on the individual posts as well as the main 'comments' section of the campaign, but we cannot guarantee to spot every post, especially during heightened comment activity.
If you have a specific issue and need a response, please email our dedicated team on [email protected] and we will be happy to help.
That's it for this update and thank you once again for your support.

Backer Kit off for approval and a test run
about 3 years ago
– Thu, Sep 30, 2021 at 12:53:32 AM
We hope everyone is doing well and has had a chance to get around a gaming table. We fired up our Tuesday night D&D meeting after having hung out on Roll 20 for the last year. It was lovely to be back :-)
Since the end of the Kickstarter we have been busy creating the Backer Kit survey as well as continuing the work on the dice prototypes.
Backer Kit
We have completed the survey, uploaded the pictures and inserted the live shipping tables. What now remains to be done is a quick check by Backer Kit (our friend Brandon says he will take a couple of days) and then it is off for a smoke test. What this entails is the survey sent out to a few hundred backers to test the mechanics, that we have the correct add ons and correct pricing and that we are good to go. As long as this test doesn't flag up any major issues, we should then be good to launch the remaining surveys around a week after the smoke test launches. As soon as the survey goes out we will post up here and on facebook with all the info you may need including what to do if you don't receive yours.
Prototypes
You have already seen some photos of the proof of concept prototypes, those made to ensure the 'Dead Centre' technology works, but recently we have been playing with the colour dye that will go into each dice.
The red is a perfect example, as too dark and you lose the eye detail, too light and you get a pink die. We believe we have settled on the colour and so have asked for some samples. Once we get these we will put up some pictures showing you the development stages of these dice.
Thank you once again for all your support in getting this project launched and we are excited in sharing this creative journey with you.
Best wishes,
Jon & Oliver

Thank you to each and every backer who has supported us and made this campaign more successful than we had ever thought possible.
Thank you to everyone who has shared our ads, helped answer questions in the comments, have shared in our excitement throughout the campaign and for all the supportive messages to us personally.
If you are new to the whole Kickstarter process, do please give our previous update a once over as it explains a little about what to expect after the campaign closes tomorrow.
In the meantime, thank you again for all the support and we are really looking forward to taking you on the rest of this creative journey.
But before you go,
Are you a 5th Edition fan? if so take a look at this...
Tenares RPG
Alex and his team from Dragori games reached out to us having spotted the Dragon Eye Dice promotions a little while back, with an idea of mutual support as our dice and their amazing 5th Edition RPG are a perfect partner. They are such lovely people with a great ethos for sharing what is going on with other creators that we were delighted to give them a shout out... then we actually took a look at the books...
Well we were in! just like that...We like Tenares so much that we are in for the Essential Kit and so we thought you may want to take a look yourself, so here, with a message, is Alex...
Dear 5th edition player,
With legendary participants, such as Ed Greenwood (the creator of Forgotten Realms), Amy Vorpahl, Bruce Nesmith (Skyrim’s lead designer), Tanares RPG - 5e promises to be one of the greatest project of the year for the world’s greatest RPG.
Almost 1,000 pages of options for beginners and entertainment for experts. A scarred world of complex geography. Unforgettable adventure path, characters, dungeons, and experiences. VTT-ready content. Plus more, much more...
A Guide to what happens at the end of the campaign
about 3 years ago
– Wed, Sep 08, 2021 at 07:49:19 PM
The Campaign Ends
As we reach the culmination of the KickStarter campaign, this update aims to set out what happens next. This update is for anyone not sure of the process from now on. If you are a veteran of the pledge manager procedure, then you will already know most of this.
Kickstarter charges your card for the pledge amount.
At the end of the crowdfunding campaign all pledges are locked, and Kickstarter begins the process of charging your cards for the amount that you pledged. As the creators we have no control over this process as it is handled entirely by Kickstarter. If you run in to any difficulties with your card or need help then please give Kickstarter a shout at [email protected]
This stage usually takes 2-3 weeks to complete. At the end of the process we will be sent the funds and your details which we add directly into the pledge manager platform Backer Kit. Once we have those details we will be able to email you your survey. We can’t send the survey out without those details so at this point we are in the hands of Kickstarter.
The Survey (Pledge Manager Questionnaire)
In the Backer Kit survey you will be taken through several stages:
1) You will be asked to confirm your pledge level that you made during the campaign.
2) You will be asked if you wish to increase this pledge level.
3) You will then be taken through to the add-ons page where you will be able to add on any further sets of the Dice (including The Goddess dice set) as well as sets of the single dice types (9x D6, 5x D20 etc).
4) The survey will then ask for your postal address
5) Finally, you will be presented with a bill for the total, made up of the pledge level, add ons and postage. The amount already collected by Kickstarter will appear as a credit, reducing the amount due.
If you have pledged for one set of dice then any add on KS sets will be the same price of £70/$90
If you have pledged for the pair, then any add on sets of the nine dice will be at £60/$80
If you have either of the big collections then each extra set will be at the price of £50/$70
For the Dragons Hoard you will be asked what colour free sets you require, you will pick one from each finish (1 x Legendary and 1 x Regal Cut) these free sets can include the Dragon Goddess set if you would like.
Other ‘single dice’ add on sets are at one standard price, details will be released on Backer Kit.
Updates
We will continue to use the Kickstarter page to publish updates on the campaign and if you have any questions about the campaign, please ask them below the specific update. Send them to [email protected] or message the creators directly through the KS page. The main comments page is not recommended for questions as the comments sometimes move so fast that your question may disappear too quickly for us to spot.
Add-on Dice Poll
Thank you to everyone who posted a response on our add-on dice poll. The results can be seen here
We are happy to confirm boxes of the D20 colour collection, the D6’s and the D4/D8 combo. To enable us to order any other packs, we are awaiting the minimum order quantity details from our packaging partner to see if we can extend the sets to the other types set out in the survey.
If we have missed out any, then please do mention them below. We can’t promise to do every set asked for but we are happy to look into any request. Thank you to anyone who has already contributed ideas.
We hope this guide helps anyone not familiar with the process as to what to expect in the coming weeks.
