Dragon Goddess Dice Set Released
over 2 years ago – Thu, Sep 02, 2021 at 07:25:31 PM

You Asked and We Listened

The Goddess Dragon D20 attracted quite a bit of attention when the image was released just before the campaign launch. For as many people who were delighted they qualified for the giveaway there were as many fellow goblins asking for a full set to be released.

Well, we have heard the request and we are delighted to announce the release of the Goddess Dragon dice set in both the legendary and regal finishes.

This set is purely released as an add on and will not be available as part of any pledge. This means you will need to select this set as an add on when you receive your post campaign survey from Backer Kit.

The prices for the set will depend on what pledge level you already have backed.

1 Dice Set - Anyone who has pledged for a single set can add the Goddess Dragon set on for the same price - $70 for the legendary round edged or $90 for the regal diamond edged.

2 Dice Set – For those who have backed for 2 dice sets can add the Goddess Dragon set on for the same as each of the sets they have pledged for - $60 for the legendary round edged or $80 for the regal diamond edged.

Chromatic Collection – For the collectors amongst you the add on set will be available at $50 for the legendary round edged or $60 for the regal diamond edged.

If you wish to take advantage of this add on you can increase your pledge amount to cover the extra set now or you can wait until the Backer Kit survey and add the amount on when you pay for postage.

And for all Dragon Hoard backers you can choose the Goddess Dragon Set for one or both of the free sets (set 11 & 12). If you chose these, you will receive one in the legendary finish and one in the regal. You make your decision when you receive the Backer Kit Survey.

Thank you again to each and everyone of you for supporting this campaign and for sharing in your love of dice!

Target Smashed – in erm… two minutes!

This is fantastic and you are all complete legends – thank you very much indeed.

The dice goblin community have always been an amazingly warm, welcoming, and kind place to hang out in. The launch of our campaign just over four weeks ago has shone another light on just how amazing you guys are and how privileged we feel in being part of this outstanding community.

What An Amazing Few Days!
over 2 years ago – Wed, Sep 01, 2021 at 04:53:56 PM

What an absolutely amazing start to the campaign and a huge thank you to everyone who has got involved.

A big thank you also to everyone who has been in touch and for those helping us out by answering questions on the comments section of the Kickstarter page. We have taken the most common questions and placed our answers in the FAQ’s section but this update will also try to address some of the more common questions we are getting.

So in no particular order…

Stretch Goals – These are great for some types of Kickstarter campaign, especially board games, card games and gamebooks. To add extra cards, sections or pieces in these types of games is relatively easy and can add real value to a product.

For something manufactured we have always felt that stretch goals either make something better quality (which begs the question was your product rubbish before the improvement?) or the stretch goals adds some unnecessary tat (cheap and pointless garbage) that no one wants. This is just our opinion and one we are sure others will disagree with, but instead we are looking to add items that people really want. For this reason we are working on non stretch goal stretch goals and will be making announcements soon.

Packs of ‘single type’ dice – Yes, this is something we are planning on doing, however, we will not be making them available as add ons during the campaign.

The reason for this is the supply chain that Covid has left us with at the moment. Containers are rarer than rocking horse whatsit, raw materials from China are becoming scarcer as demand rises, carboard has doubled in price and become almost as expensive as printer ink (actually not that expensive😊) and when you do order anything it takes so much longer to arrive anywhere.

Our answer, which has been worked out with our manufacturing partners, is to keep the first order simple and straight forward. The dice sets are what we are producing and with several lines producing the same items, in the same sized packaging, we can speed production up to the maximum. As soon as we are underway then we can begin producing the alternative box sets.

In order to get the right sets for what you folks are looking for we are planning a poll a little later in the campaign where we will ask you for your advice on what sets you would like to see.

The dice and what they look and roll like – With our new process of making the dice we have had to machine the molds, ship them to Taiwan and then instruct the factory as to how they are used. We are expecting our first full run of each dice in every color to be able to video and photograph for a future update. As soon as they come through, we will post these up and separate pictures of the Dragon Vein Agate gemstone that goes into each one.

These will be the first production quality dice from the factory, and we are really excited to see how they look close up. If they are anything like the prototypes (pictured above) then we are in for a real treat. We had planned for these to be with us before the campaign had launched, but the factory had to close for a short while due to Covid. Thankfully they are back up and running now.

Again, an awesome start and we really look forward to sharing this creative journey with you.

Best wishes

Jon & Oliver
