The Campaign Ends
As we reach the culmination of the KickStarter campaign, this update aims to set out what happens next. This update is for anyone not sure of the process from now on. If you are a veteran of the pledge manager procedure, then you will already know most of this.
Kickstarter charges your card for the pledge amount.
At the end of the crowdfunding campaign all pledges are locked, and Kickstarter begins the process of charging your cards for the amount that you pledged. As the creators we have no control over this process as it is handled entirely by Kickstarter. If you run in to any difficulties with your card or need help then please give Kickstarter a shout at [email protected]
This stage usually takes 2-3 weeks to complete. At the end of the process we will be sent the funds and your details which we add directly into the pledge manager platform Backer Kit. Once we have those details we will be able to email you your survey. We can’t send the survey out without those details so at this point we are in the hands of Kickstarter.
The Survey (Pledge Manager Questionnaire)
In the Backer Kit survey you will be taken through several stages:
1) You will be asked to confirm your pledge level that you made during the campaign.
2) You will be asked if you wish to increase this pledge level.
3) You will then be taken through to the add-ons page where you will be able to add on any further sets of the Dice (including The Goddess dice set) as well as sets of the single dice types (9x D6, 5x D20 etc).
4) The survey will then ask for your postal address
5) Finally, you will be presented with a bill for the total, made up of the pledge level, add ons and postage. The amount already collected by Kickstarter will appear as a credit, reducing the amount due.
- If you have pledged for one set of dice then any add on KS sets will be the same price of £70/$90
- If you have pledged for the pair, then any add on sets of the nine dice will be at £60/$80
- If you have either of the big collections then each extra set will be at the price of £50/$70
- For the Dragons Hoard you will be asked what colour free sets you require, you will pick one from each finish (1 x Legendary and 1 x Regal Cut) these free sets can include the Dragon Goddess set if you would like.
- Other ‘single dice’ add on sets are at one standard price, details will be released on Backer Kit.
Updates
We will continue to use the Kickstarter page to publish updates on the campaign and if you have any questions about the campaign, please ask them below the specific update. Send them to [email protected] or message the creators directly through the KS page. The main comments page is not recommended for questions as the comments sometimes move so fast that your question may disappear too quickly for us to spot.
Add-on Dice Poll
Thank you to everyone who posted a response on our add-on dice poll. The results can be seen here
We are happy to confirm boxes of the D20 colour collection, the D6’s and the D4/D8 combo. To enable us to order any other packs, we are awaiting the minimum order quantity details from our packaging partner to see if we can extend the sets to the other types set out in the survey.
If we have missed out any, then please do mention them below. We can’t promise to do every set asked for but we are happy to look into any request. Thank you to anyone who has already contributed ideas.
We hope this guide helps anyone not familiar with the process as to what to expect in the coming weeks.
Many thanks once again for all your support.

A Request for Pictures

We had a few requests on the Facebook Dragon Eye Dice page for more photos of the dice, and a few of you here (quite rightly) have stated that any answer should be posted up here first. You are absolutely right and so here are some shots of the various prototype stages we have been working through.
We were hoping for some Alpha prototypes (production quality) but the delay with the factory closing, because of covid, has effected the shipment to our studio in the US. Saying that, these prototypes we have, show all you should need about the accuracy and ability of our new system and our ability to place the eye in the dead centre of each die.
We begin with the eyes - Each iris designed by taking elements from each of the dragons habitat, to form the background to each eye. Here are four examples.
Four Eyes
The Central placing of the dice can be best seen here, in this collection sat on Jons desk in his office.
Taken on an iphone so apologies for the quality. The green stone, on the right black dragon die, has been swapped out for a black dragon vein agate stone. Also these colors are very light as we were testing various depths of color to ensure we got the tone just right without hiding the eye.
The Egg
We have received the sample of the dragon egg, unpainted but still able to show the idea behind the tray that you can use whilst playing. The picture here shows all nine dice in the tray (base of the egg). The felt bag will be just large enough to fit the dice and the egg into snuggly and then close the bag up to keep the creatures nice and secure.
Once we have the full alpha prototypes we will release video of them here, as well as other manufacturing updates. Especially the first shots of the Regal Cut dice as we cannot wait to see them.
In the next update we will be setting out an explanation of what happens after the campaign closes, especially for those new to Kickstarter.
Until then, thanks for stopping by,
Best wishes

Dragon Eye Dice - Add On Dice Sets

We Need Your Help...
Dice Goblins are as eclectic as they are discerning when it comes to the types of dice they need in their collection. And it is not just tastes that vary, the games we play also require a diverse number of the same style of dice to suit our particular need, character class and game rules.
Even with a full set of Dragon Eye Dice, for many, this doesn't address the issue that arises when your fireball spell needs to be rolled with eight Red Dragon D6. Or as one fellow dice goblin mentioned in the comments, any self respecting Paladin needs up to five d8 for their Divine Smite (six if the enemy are undead), success almost guaranteed if those d8's were all Goddess Dragon Dice.
The difficulty arises as there is almost an endless combination of dice sets that can be created, but which ones are the best to suit your particular tastes? We have read all the comments on the campaign and on the private facebook group and have put together a top pick of the sets we are looking at offering as add-ons to your Dragon Eye pledge.
Just because we are showing concept designs for sets of D20, D6, D10 and Spindown dice does not mean that these are the only sets we are willing to put on offer.
To participate in the poll, click here or on the picture above. If, after the poll, you have questions then please post them below. The poll will be open until midnight GMT, Sunday 29th August 2021.
Thank you in advance,
Jon & Oliver
Happy Friday - and here is what's coming next week

Hi Folks,
Here is a simple screen grab of some graphics we have been working on this week. It is our intention to release a poll this coming week to see what standalone sets peeps will want to get, if they were made available. The poll will have the proper images and not screen shots.
There are no plans to make these pledges in the campaign but rather as add ons or through our e-commerce site when we fulfil the campaign. We will, however, release more details once the poll has come in.
Pictured here is a pack of 9xD6, the second pack is 5xD20 (one of each of the Chromatic Dragons) and a D10 pack with 2 percentile dice and 7 d10 - we are also looking at spindown dice for MTG fans.
Have we missed anything? Do please make any further suggestions below.
Have a great weekend,
Jon & Oliver
Dragon Goddess Dice Set Released

You Asked and We Listened
The Goddess Dragon D20 attracted quite a bit of attention when the image was released just before the campaign launch. For as many people who were delighted they qualified for the giveaway there were as many fellow goblins asking for a full set to be released.
Well, we have heard the request and we are delighted to announce the release of the Goddess Dragon dice set in both the legendary and regal finishes.
This set is purely released as an add on and will not be available as part of any pledge. This means you will need to select this set as an add on when you receive your post campaign survey from Backer Kit.
The prices for the set will depend on what pledge level you already have backed.
1 Dice Set - Anyone who has pledged for a single set can add the Goddess Dragon set on for the same price - $70 for the legendary round edged or $90 for the regal diamond edged.
2 Dice Set – For those who have backed for 2 dice sets can add the Goddess Dragon set on for the same as each of the sets they have pledged for - $60 for the legendary round edged or $80 for the regal diamond edged.
Chromatic Collection – For the collectors amongst you the add on set will be available at $50 for the legendary round edged or $60 for the regal diamond edged.
If you wish to take advantage of this add on you can increase your pledge amount to cover the extra set now or you can wait until the Backer Kit survey and add the amount on when you pay for postage.
And for all Dragon Hoard backers you can choose the Goddess Dragon Set for one or both of the free sets (set 11 & 12). If you chose these, you will receive one in the legendary finish and one in the regal. You make your decision when you receive the Backer Kit Survey.
Thank you again to each and everyone of you for supporting this campaign and for sharing in your love of dice!
